you can try the one from ximian - at your own risk :)

No risk - it works :-)) At least for me. But of course, I am using the other stuff from ximian as well (evolution, bonobo and so on). The standard mozilla package from ximian contains only navigator and composer, so for using mail you will have to dl another package in addition (mozilla-mail or so).
