HP multimedia computer with SuSE 9.0?
Last week I posted a question about SuSE 9 on HP m370n multimedia PC but so far no response. I guess I forgot to add a troll like XP rules on HP? Just kidding. Seriously though, I would like to know if anyone has installed SuSE 9.0 on the HP m370n or any other recent HP multimedia PC. While the windows software works ok, I would like to be able to use Linux on this computer. I see that the PVR (video capture) card is an Asus card with an HP part number on it so I assume it is a custom part (I couldn't find it on the Asus site). If I try to setup the card in SuSE 9.0, I can't find any Asus products in the list of TV cards Damon Register

Maybe you could try the "Live Eval" disk, then you could try Suse 9.0 without
messing up your hd and see what it finds?

I really would like to get this computer to work with SuSE 9.0 so if anyone can offer help, I would appreciate it. Damon Register

How about Knoppix? Perhaps not the best suggestion on a SuSE list, but Knoppix is pretty bleeding edge and is well-known to handle all sorts of hardware. At least, if SuSE doesn't detect the hardware I would try another distribution just to compare. And of course, run some hardware checks in Windows and note the name of all parts. When you know the exact configuration of all parts attempt to set up manually in SuSE "in the usual way" so to speak.
