else (manually), chrooting in your linux and aking grub-install /dev/yourdisk should work
Well, just chrooting is not enough. Before chrooting you should do ( assuming your linux system is mounted on /mnt of the rescue system) mount --bind /dev /mnt/dev mount --bind /sys /mnt/sys mount --bind /proc /mnt/proc to provide these virtual filessystems to the chrooted system
this is necessary only with openSUSE couldn't the distro provides a script? Ubuntu (or debian?) provide at rescue login a choice: login in the disk system or in the rescue system. the first log in the chroot jail jdd -- http://www.dodin.net http://valerie.dodin.org http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t-eic8MSSfM http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=1412160445 -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
