Where does YaST(1) / SuSEconfig put it's log file?
Hey y'all, Know how whenever you make changes with YaST (the original, not YaST2) it runs SuSEconfig as it cleans up, and all that stuff goes scrolling by? I know it puts it in a log file somewhere, but I cant's find it in /var/log/ nor in /var/adm. Anyone know where it is. P.S. Dear SuSE: please do not remove the old YaST from SuSE 7.2. There are still things that I can do with the old YaST that I cannot do with YaST2 yet. Hi, YaST 1 logs a lot of output from SuSEconfig to syslog, so have a look in /var/log/messages. Regards Anders On Friday 25 May 2001 22:17, Jonathan Wilson wrote:

I am trying to configure IMP which is a webmail server but it seems to be that mySQL is causing the trouble. If you would care to look: www.campoalto.edu.py/horde and tell me if you are familiar with the symthoms. Thanks, Raul _______________________ Raul Gutierrez Segales oxford@campoalto.edu.py
From Jonathan Wilson to suse-linux-e@lists.suse.com about [SLE] Where does...:

I know it puts it in a log file somewhere, but I cant's find it in /var/log/ nor in /var/adm. Anyone know where it is. SuSEconfig seems to use /var/adm/notify/log/ but it was empty with me. I guess that's what the cleaning up is for. Package installation logs come in /var/adm/inst-log/

Merging both would be nice.
