which won't (as per your previous mail) compile 2.0 kernels.
I'm not entirely concerned about that (since I run 2.1.latest), though I haven't compiled them under egcs before (since Linus recommends 2.7.2...)
2.7.2 and egcs should be able to coexist without too many problems.
more or less, they will: current-status: (internal, not on ftp yet): gcc is split up into "gccfront" and "gcc"; the part that conflicts with egcs is in "gccfront". With this setup you can either: install egcs (plus gpp etc). and gcc ; then "/usr/bin/gcc" will call egcs and "/usr/bin/gcc -V2.7.2.3" will call gcc(old) or you can install gcc and gccfront and you'll end up with a plain gcc-2.7.2.3 mit freundlichen Gruessen (mit freundlichem Grinsen), Ruediger Oertel (ro@suse.de) ----------------------------------------------------------------- :-)) The perfect BIOS-Setup: Chipset -> IDE -> Disable_All :-)) ----ALWAYS REMEMBER: WHATEVER I SAY, IT'S MY PERSONAL OPINION---- - To get out of this list, please send email to majordomo@suse.com with this text in its body: unsubscribe suse-linux-e Check out the SuSE-FAQ at <A HREF="http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/"><A HREF="http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/</A">http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/</A</A>> and the archiv at <A HREF="http://www.suse.com/Mailinglists/suse-linux-e/index.html"><A HREF="http://www.suse.com/Mailinglists/suse-linux-e/index.html</A">http://www.suse.com/Mailinglists/suse-linux-e/index.html</A</A>>
