[opensuse] segfault with gstreamer shared object
Hi all, some days ago after an online update I started noticing a strange error message when launching aMSN from the konsole because it wasn't starting from the desktop icon... --- ERROR: Caught a segmentation fault while loading plugin file: /usr/lib64/gstreamer-0.10/libgstlv2.so --- What I did -please don't crucify me!- was to move that .so to /var/tmp temporarily and try again. aMSN started just fine. Today, after another online update, I needed to use OpenOffice and that damn error showed up again, so the only way I have to get OOo working is -again- to move that .so somewhere else... So some questions about this: 1. is this expected to happen? I guess it's not... ¬¬ 2. am I running into much trouble when moving that shared object off to /var/tmp ? 3. is there any fix at all? This is the gstreamer-stuff installed on my OpenSUSE 11.0 system: --- $ rpm -qa | grep gstreamer gstreamer-0_10-plugins-good-lang-0.10.17-999.pm.1001.13 gstreamer-0_10-plugins-bad-lang-0.10.17-999.pm.1000.10 gstreamer-0_10-lang-0.10.25-999.pm.1001.3 gstreamer-0_10-plugins-base-lang-0.10.25-999.pm.1000.10 gstreamer-0_10-plugins-good-0.10.17-999.pm.1001.13 gstreamer-0_10-devel-0.10.25-999.pm.1001.3 python-gstreamer-0_10-0.10.17-999.pm.999.4 gstreamer-0_10-plugins-bad-0.10.17-999.pm.1000.10 gstreamer-0_10-plugins-base-0.10.25-999.pm.1000.10 gstreamer-0_10-plugins-base-devel-0.10.25-999.pm.999.4 gstreamer-0_10-0.10.25-999.pm.1001.3 libgstreamer-0_10-0-0.10.25-999.pm.1001.3 gstreamer-utils-0.10.25-999.pm.1001.3 gstreamer-0_10-plugins-farsight-0.12.11-0.pm.2.5 gstreamer-0_10-utils-0.10.25-999.pm.1001.3 gstreamer-0_10-plugins-good-extra-0.10.17-999.pm.999.5 --- Thanks in advance!
