Try this as root.
chmod +x conf.d
Then try to cd into it. If you don't have the +x bit set then you can't stat the directory. If this solves the problem use it on the other two files.
Tried it and got following info. getting attributes of 'conf.d' : Permission denied And now ? ;-) There must be a solution. Or? -- NTReader v0.36w(P)/Beta (Registered) in conjunction with Net-Tamer.

Two sugerences: - What do you get if you type "mount" and "df"? - Try doing it (chmod, ls, etc) from the rescue system. -- Cheers, Carlos Robinson

Then go to the /mnt/var/spool directory find if I have a postfix diectory rename it to something like postfix.old Then reboot go to single user mode by doing init S and manually install postfix from the CD by doing : #rpm --force -Uvh postfix.rpm then go to multiuser and see if works. It might not start automatically.. try /etc/rd.d/postfix status if the daemon is down start it by executing : #/etc/rc.d/postfix start Good luck, and have fun Vic - -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- NetSystems Info Inc. 164 rue Ideal St-Eustache, Quebec J7P !R3, CANADA -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.0.6 (GNU/Linux) Comment: For info see http://www.gnupg.org iD8DBQE9zz233GpaTL3AppcRAgzYAJ9JWoFF8hCYOMm0iKZG69Qnzjm9lACfR6HX G4Xv5uNWTaGOgOGzx+zHCV8= =vstW -----END PGP SIGNATURE-----
