Lastly YaST is undoubtably the crown jewel of Suse, but it can often be unresponsive. It's hung on me a couple of times starting services and such, but most annoying is when it can't connect to an online repository. No amount of clicking 'abort' will stop it. Is there a timeout setting somewhere or an elegant way to handle this?
I've also had the problem where YaST tries to connect to an online repository but can't connect for whatever reason. Clicking on 'abort' does nothing and I have to frustratingly wait for it to time out. Gareth.
