Hi, I have quite strange problem with text display in KDE and Konqueror (in fresh install of 8.2). I set resolution 1280x1024 and text size 9 - 10 pt (Times) for Konqueror, KDE applications and Mozilla. However, I can swear that text displayed is at least as the same as 14 pt or so (I use the same resolution at work). In Konqueror web browser text it simply jumbo-sized, even if web page(s) setting(s) are 9 - 10 pt. I suspect that somewhere X configured to work at Mac 72 dpi resolution, not 96 dpi, but I am not sure. Anyone have a clue how to solve this problem? You can check in K->system->info->info center->X server. In my case, it reads Resolution 126x126 dpi If you think that's the problem, you could try editing /etc/opt/kde3/share/config/kdm/Xservers and add -dpi 96 as a parameter to X
