Fred, what ide port is your Plextor connected to on your motherboard? Mine is connected to secondary-master, set up as scsi emulation. Therefore I have a sym link from /dev/cdrecorder to /dev/hdc, and it works fine. HTH, Jerry At 07:16 PM 9/9/2001 -0400, Fred A. Miller wrote:

It's correctly set up. If you want to mount the CD(RW) you would use /dev/scd0, given that it's your first SCSI CD-ROM. To burn, use: cdrecord dev=2,0,0 speed=x -v -eject -data your_iso_image.iso ( I use -eject so it spits when ready :-) to create the iso image, take a look at mkisofs ( long and boring "--help" :) -tosi
