Hi, at last, I got to update my desktop-machine to SuSE 7.0... and I've been confronted with some nasty problems. I've got 2 graphic controllers in my machine, an ATI Rage Pro and a Matrox MGA card. It ran just great in my old configuration -- with SuSE 6.3 + XFree 4.0 + KDE 1.1.2, in Xinerama configuration. The exact problem is, that there's nearly no X application able to start in this configuration under SuSE 7.0. KDE2 stuff hangs at startup, spitting with messages like KDE detected X Error: BadGC (invalid GC parameter) 13 Major opcode: 59 KDE detected X Error: BadDrawable (invalid Pixmap or Window parameter) 9 Major opcode: 68 and nearly any other windowmanager/environment just dies silently -- any but the icewm. All gtk++ applications die at startup, dumping core (they are running perfectly in the non-xinerama multihead setup). Clues, workarounds, anybody?
