S'funny. I loaded Kweather... but it says my network isn't connected. (it is) but the applet is there. Look for: /opt/kde3/bin/kweatherservice

KWeather is in 8.2 and 9.0. Don't think its working quite right as far as auto updates go. Mine seems to never or rarely update. Stan

Stan It's fine in 9.0 IF you put it on the panel ( right click on an empty spot.. add ->applet-> Kweather It needs to be configured and have some location ( airport) that it goes to in order to get teh info, you can also setup the network stuff in

Ok, so I put it on the panel.. (where it's been since 8.2) and went to configure it. It already has a 4-char code, and I see nothing about setting up anything for a network other than the offline box. (unchecked) All I get out of it is 'network is unavailable'. I even brought over the (working) copy of 8.2 and it gave me the same error. Yet I put tcpdump on it and I don't see any network activity whatever. I think it's borken. -- +----------------------------------------------------------------------------+ + Bruce S.
