[opensuse] do you want to install more packages question is missing
Hello: In openSUSE 11.1 yast software manager always quits after package installation. In previous versions it asked if I wanted to install more packages and I did not have to start the manager again and again. Is this a feature (lack), a bug or am I missing something? Do a search for yast2-packager-2.17.50.1-1.1 rpm in the software search. This has 3 newer yast modules that do provide this (backported enhancements I believe. It has a very nice configurable option to go immediately back, exit, or display a summary screen, where you could hit back to go back to install, or finish to exit. It works well here. -- Joe Morris Registered Linux user 231871 running openSUSE 11.1 x86_64 -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

Yast, System, etc/sysconfig Editor, System, Yast2, GUI, PKGMGR_ACTION_AT_EXIT Summary is probably your best choice. -- Joe Morris Registered Linux user 231871 running openSUSE 11.1 x86_64 -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

I can as far as the GUI selection, but I don't have a PKGMGR_ACTION_AT_EXIT key? You need the 2.17.54.1 version from home:/lslezak for this to work in 11.1. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

You aren't missing anything, the dialog went away. I'm not sure why. I'd like it back or some other way to indicate that I want to do a install run followed by more diddling with packages. (If I'm fighting with dependencies, I find that quite useful.) I'd call it a "misfeature" if it was intended and a "bug" otherwise. -- Boyd Stephen Smith Jr. ,= ,-_-. =. bss@iguanasuicide.net ((_/)o o(\_)) ICQ: 514984 YM/AIM: DaTwinkDaddy `-'(. .)`-' http://iguanasuicide.net/ \_/
