I can probably help but I have no knowledge of any info on the SDB. I found LPRng to be broken on the 8.1 distribution but I was able to grab a copy of 3.8.12 (don't go for later versions just yet) as an RPM file and installed that. Should this go to the KDE group??? I leave xwin (KDE) to enter a console, no prob. When I attempt to get back with ctrl-alt F7, I get an "input not supported" msg box in "console graphics". thoughts?

What is 'console graphics'? I use 'Alt F7' to return to X from a console. Martijn
