It's not the latest version, but it should do the work.

- thank you! - I found ksynapctics version 0.31 as a part of my SuSE10.2 - installed it. - it gives me a small icon in my taskbar - alas, with everything grayed out...nothing can be done. And it gives me a warning when starting it: "Shared memory is not accessible.
