Hi, I just bought a port replicator (new in box) for my Toshiba Tecra 8000 (what the heck, it was $10 on ebay). It duplicates all the ports on my Tecra (duh) plus it adds a couple pmcia slots. The ports work fine, but I can't seem to get linux to recognize any cards in the extra pcmcia slots. I believe it's aware of the slots - /proc/bus/pccard has two directories (00 and 01) when the Tecra isn't docked and four directories (00, 01, 02, and 03) when it's docked), but I can't configure any cards in those extra slots. Is there something I'm missing? Do the two slots on the Tecra have to be filled before I can use one of slots on the port replicator? Thanks, Steve
