I am trying to compile PHP4 and the configure program says I don't have lex, where about would I go to find lex? -- To unsubscribe send e-mail to suse-linux-e-unsubscribe@suse.com For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the FAQ at http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/
Lex, flex, yacc and bison are located in series d. (At least on SuSE 6.3). Flex is the more modern lexer, but there is a significant difference in syntaxes between lex and flex. You probably would also need yacc. I didn't see lex in series d, but it is installed on my system, so I am assuming that it is installed when you install yacc. Bison is the GNU version of yacc.
