Well, My Pace Solo external won't work ! See my earlier post, I cannot install either 6.4 or 7.0 via yast2 as it gives a red box error message. if I switch off the modem it installs OK, but cannot use yast2 to configure it. I know I can do it in other ways, but why doesn't Yast2 handle the modem ? Also if I try to configure X with Sax2 it screws up the keyboard - any thoughts on that before I go to another distro that works first ime e.g. Caldera or Mandrake ? thanks Ian trouble at all. Been a while since i have had a chance to use it since i have had cable modem an dsl ofr the past year but i did get it working. -- To unsubscribe send e-mail to suse-linux-e-unsubscribe@suse.com For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the FAQ at http://www.suse.com/support/faq -- To unsubscribe send e-mail to suse-linux-e-unsubscribe@suse.com For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the FAQ at http://www.suse.com/support/faq
Cofigure your keyboard in XF86Setup (and the rest of X if you need to). A recent mail on this list recommended this address to learn about ppp and modem config in Linux, the best I've seen so far: http://axion.physics.ubc.ca/ppp-linux.html Good luck! Helgi Örn
