I have noted that when using the 9.2 install CD that postgresql is not listed as an installable option. It is not listed in yast as a package. Yet, using the 9.2 DVD it is. Why the difference? As a second questions, 9.2 still seems to be distributing postgresql 7.4. The postgres group has released version 8. Would I be better off grabbing the rpm for version 8? -- David Bear phone: 480-965-8257 fax: 480-965-9189 College of Public Programs/ASU Wilson Hall 232 Tempe, AZ 85287-0803 "Beware the IP portfolio, everyone will be suspect of trespassing"

Since 9.2 ther are packages on the DVD that are not on the CD's due to space limits on the CD's. Must be too much to include another CD.

Don't know. -- Ken Schneider UNIX since 1989, linux since 1994, SuSE since 1998 "The day Microsoft makes something that doesn't suck is probably the day they start making vacuum cleaners." -Ernst Jan Plugge
I have been using 8.0.2 from the projects folder on 9.0 with absolutely no problems Ken Schneider wrote:
