I have the following scenario: I have a SuSE 7.2 machine that exports /var/spool/mail I have a mix of Irix servers that mount /var/spool/mail and write to the mail files. I have been getting corrupted mail files lately. This all happened when I moved the mail server to a Red Hat 7.2 system. Due to NFS problems I went back to SuSE. The main problem is that before when I was running SuSE 7.0 I did not get corrupt mail files, but now, since I reverted back to SuSE, I went with version 7.2 and noe I am getting occasional corrupt mail files.
