It's just zinc-oxide isn't it? Know anyone in diapers?
Really? I thought that was the white stuff life guards plastered their noses with so they wouldn't get a burn. When I bought my last motherboard/cpu combo, the compound that was put on it was blue.
Hmmm...
That must be that new Coppertone stuff for kids :>
weekend), but I picked up a case cooling fan. It's one of those that
mounted in the front of the case. My question is...WHICH way should
airflow be? Should it take air in through the front of the case and
it back through the system, or should it pull air in through the back and out the front?
I just checked my Digital, and it sucks. No reflection on the cpu,
is the pass that's
just the direction it's going.
Can you FEEL air flowing into the case? The fan I bought (and I assume it's a cheapo model) has a variable speed motor with a temperature sensor on it. I stuck the sensor way up into the attic of my case (where I thought the heat would be the greatest), but I can barely feel anything.
Barely, I wouldn't say that there is a great amount of air flow. BTW, this is just the power supply fan, I didn't open up the case to see about the cpu fan. If you're real curious, I'll do that at home where I scrapped the cover loooongg ago. No heat buildup there (some cat hair problems, however). I would say that if the power supply fan pulls air in, then you want your new fan to blow out. This would be for the case fan. As for the cpu, isn't there a connector already on it? I would think that it's gonna blow the way it wants to ... Otherwise, I can check and get back to you.
Thanks for taking the time :)
