Is anybody using the latest version of Firefox getting a sudden flurry of pop up ad's? I haven't switched my Linux box on to try from there but I am getting htis behaviour from the Windows box. I'm not the only one either. Could it be a bug only in the Windows version? Kevan, I have not seen this activity on my Windows XP install. I would expect that you may have adware on your windows machine. If you don't have it already I suggest using Lavasoft's AdAware and Spybot Search-and-Destroy. If they don't do it for you get HiJackThis! and remove any browser helper objects that you do not need. Make sure your virus scanner is up to date as well. Good luck! James W

Haven't used M$ version of FF since installing SuSE 10 so no idea what may or may not be happening on that OS. On SuSE there is no such naughty behaviour - working perfectly (with AdBlock installed of course). (Don't forget that using the nightlies opens the possibility of having something broken in that particular nightly.) I've been having this problem with SUSE Linux 9.0 and the latest Firefox (at home on my desktop system) but on XP (at work) I have no such problems. However, everything is fine with SUSE Linux 9.3 and the latest Firefox on my laptop.
