Wow, that's very pretty. Is it usual that KDE now can't see any fonts but true type ones, that's a shame. Now how come SuSE doesn't announce new versions by doing a comedy rendition of great songs for their press releases like Trolltech did (I can see clearly now twothree has come, classic)! Do you know if there is any advantage to AA in QT 2.3 (perhaps what ever reason it was "experimental" is no longer an issue?). I'm running XFree 4.0.2 on SuSE 7.1 and I tried qt-experimental after I got no difference from running qt-2.3.0 (just in case installing it ran some extra X setup or something, of course it doesn't), and with qt-experimental there's still no sign of anti-aliased fonts - using the scaled fonts of course. But the XFree 4.0.2 I have installed (remember, from SuSE 7.1) doesn't have the RENDER extension. Here's the output from xdpyinfo (attached). How does this get enabled?
