I cannot login to Zope. Zope is as is from the SuSE9.0 CD's, and Zope is up and running (can access it over the net, can run the examples, etc.). There's a script to change the administrator username and password, and I've tried it in a million different ways, but the most simple way should be ok: python zpasswd.py -u testuser -p secret inituser The file inituser is stored in the zope root, i.e. (opt/zope. However, I can't login. Any ideas? /Marty

try this: su root cd /opt/zope python zpasswd.py -u whaterver -p whatever access rczope restart exit Note: the script will write to a file called "access" which you seem to be missing in your recipe.....:) /ch

Well, I tried access too yesterday, since the doc's mentioned both the files 'access' and 'inituser', but didn't get in. Earlier today I googled around on the I'net and found a msg from a RH-user who experienced similar problems. His fix was to change the owner of the 'access' file to zope (was root). Now it works. Thanks for your reply anyway! /Marty
