It's in there 9.3 but not in YaST partitioner. I have /home as reiser4.
Thanks, I didn't realize that. I suspect there is no means of converting a partition in-place. That's one of the problems with these zigabyte harddrives, How do you move the whole 160 Gig to another location? I'd have to buy a new harddrive and put it in another system, then transfer the contents of this one across the network. :-/ -- Regards, Steven

I tried to set up a reiser4 data partition. It formatted and mounted OK but crashed the machine as soon as I rsynced files into it. On reboot I'd find an empty partition again. I suspect it's because some files were over 2 Gig. Anyway I didn't find it useable. Does it work for you? michaelj -- Michael James michael.james@csiro.au System Administrator voice: 02 6246 5040 CSIRO Bioinformatics Facility fax: 02 6246 5166 No matter how much you pay for software, you always get less than you hoped. I guess I have Reiser 3, whatever the default Reiser is with SuSE 9.2. But I can tell you I have a number of files over 2 gigs and they have worked fine on my Reiser partitions. No, it's not that, I have the DVD9 image of SUSE 9.3 on the reiser4 partition.
Anyway I didn't find it useable.

Perfectly.

reiserfs4 is still experimental, that's why Yast doesn't handle it yet. - -- Cheers, Carlos Robinson -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.0 (GNU/Linux) Comment: Made with pgp4pine 1.76 iD8DBQFCzCOntTMYHG2NR9URAqp8AKCOYihfPxRMmy1Gz0Lje2TklD42VQCcDhbJ G+VTeBLUQxAlPKrgq5WB/NI= =jvrV -----END PGP SIGNATURE-----
