palm pilot zire don't run in Suse 9.2 pro
Yesterday I updated my notebook, from SuSE 9.1 to SuSE 9.2 professional, then I can't use palm pilot zire 21, connected via usb, because Kpilot don't find it in /dev/palm or /dev/pilot or /dev/ttyUSB0,1,2,3.... I think cause is in the new virtual file system /dev, but searching via google and in the suse knowledge base, I not find more information about to configure right the palm device... -- Calogero Bonasia

Try /dev/usb/ttyUSB1. Works with my Zire 71. Richard

Jerry Try setting Kpilot to /dev/pilot and then do a "ln /dev/pilot /dev/usb/ttyUSB1" if this doesn't work try USB0 This is the only way I could get kpilot to link up in 9.2 Also most of the time I have to sync it twice to get it to really sync it says it does the first time but nothing is transfered so pushing the button on the pilot again syncs up. At moment I've /dev/ttyUSB0 and /dev/ttyUSB1, root:uucp I changed my personal user account "pippo" joined to uucp group, but nothing. If I try to use pilot-xfer -p /dev/ttyUSB0 -l or "USB1" but nothing. It is possible that in suse 9.2 need to change some row in the /etc/udev files? -- Calogero Bonasia www.linuxteam.it
