Yes, I know. I said MOZILLA is the one without the spellckecker. That is the reason I went with Netscape (for Windows) at work, because of the spellchecker. If 6.2.2 was S/MIME compliant, I would go ahead and install it, but without it, I will just wait. The new Netscape 6 series is looking pretty good, but it still lacks some of the functionality of the 4.7x series. Mozilla suits me until then. ;-)
Out of curiousity, what functionality is missing?
Spell checker for one.....UNreasonalble that it's not included.

Fred. The statement was: "The new Netscape 6 series is looking pretty good, but it still lacks some of the functionality of the 4.7x series. " The question was: What is missing from Netscape 6? We have already established that Netscape 6 *does* have a spell checker. So again, what's missing from Netscape 6 that you had in Netscape 4? John

The main one is S/MIME compliancy. I had/have a security certificate to be able to digitally sign or encrypt my email, which worked fine in 4.6-4.77, when I 'discovered' Mozilla. The 4.7 series also ran faster, and until the 6.2 series crashed less (though pretty subjective as I switched to Mozilla around .9.0). Another functionality loss from 4.7 (for both Moz & NS 6) is the ability to upload to a ftp site. Composer was much more stable for editting for editing an html page, especially if there is embedding. And the plugins seemed more stable under the 4.7x series than NS6. NS 6 is coming along, and I did use the 6.21 version til Moxilla came out with S/MIME functionality, which made me switch back. If Netscape 6.2.2 was based say on Mozilla .9.7 or .9.8, then I would probably switch, at least as the office on the Windows workstations (to say goodbye to bi-weekly security updates for IE & OE) as well as home. Since it is only .9.4.1, I'll stick with Mozilla at home. BUT, the office is now about 50/50 6.2.1, to be upgraded today to 6.2.2. BTW, I just learned last night that there IS a spellchecker project for Mozilla. Check out http://spellchecker.mozdev.org/installation.html Unfortunately, all the Linux files are RH rpms, but I will try to install, copy the files to the correct locations, then uninstall the rpm, to see how well it works. Anyway, I hope this answers your question John. :-) -- Joe & Sesil Morris New Tribes Mission Email Address: Joe_Morris@ntm.org Web Address: http://www.mydestiny.net/~joe_morris Registered Linux user 231871
