Sendmail should not be putting it in a directory or any such thing. This would be fetchmail and procmails job. Look at the piece of mail I just sent you for the answer. * Rolando Roman (landie@concentric.net) [000905 18:25]: -->i accidently removed sendmail files and i reinstalled it now i dont now where -->my mail is going, i am using fetchmail and mutt and i see the fetching but i -->dont see my email where the heck is going --> --> --> -- Rolando Roman -->Linux -->8:00pm up 12 min, 1 user, load average: 0.96, 0.57, 0.27 --> -->-- -->To unsubscribe send e-mail to suse-linux-e-unsubscribe@suse.com -->For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com -->Also check the FAQ at http://www.suse.com/support/faq --> -- Cheers, Ben Rosenberg mailto:ben@whack.org ------------------------- "The only 'intuitive' interface is the nipple. I am not exactly sure of how it works, but sendmail does place mail in user's mail in /var/spool/mail. Relay option? I have a machine running the sendmail smtp daemon on port 25, no fetchmail nor procmail, and it will put mail in the proper user file in /var/spool/mail, if the user exists on the system. Then when the user runs pine or fetches via pop mail, they get their mail. -- To unsubscribe send e-mail to suse-linux-e-unsubscribe@suse.com For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the FAQ at http://www.suse.com/support/faq
