[opensuse] openSUSE-11rc1 and pulseaudio (and mythtv)
Has someone tested openSUSE-11 with more than one soundcard? I wanted to work with my 5.1 Terratec Aureon but with speaker-test there comes an error of pulseaudio and something like connection refused! I found a file /etc/asoundrc with the configuration of pulseaudio for alsa, so my first thought was: a new soundsystem! What the hell is pulseaudio? The only thing i've heard about it is that mythtv doesn't work with it. So why to integrate a non working soundsystem into a distribution? During deletion esound was installed and everything works fine with my old .asoundrc. Puhh Of course i want to have the standard setup running, so maybe someone has experiences with pulseaudio!? Search the factory archive: there was some talk of that. - -- Cheers, Carlos E.
