[SLE] root/boot disks again
Sorry folk's I was in a hurry when I asked my first question, so here it is again with more detail. I am in need of a single root/boot disk that I can boot from and then run a script that will modify some network settings and configuration files on a "generic" linux installation. This will be used as the final step in a mass rollout of linux machines, and needs to be as simple as just placing the disk in the drive and turning the machine on. I have already written the script to change network settings but I'm having some trouble with the boot floppy. Thanks in advance. -James M -- To unsubscribe send e-mail to suse-linux-e-unsubscribe@suse.com For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the FAQ at http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/

Hi James, I'd still insist to look at http://www.toms.net/rb if you modify /etc/inittab ... well I thought about that for my "erase the disk" problem ... but I don't think it's a wise idea. It's not the disk you like in your working when you turn it on in the morning whils going to the gent's room ;-) Read the FAQ on it. Topic 6) Cutomisation. I'll play on the weekend.
