Stock Mozilla on 9.1 Professional lockup
Greetings, Has anyone here experienced any lockups on 9.1 with the provided Mozilla browser (1.6)? I'm not talking about switch-to-a-console-and-kill-the-process lockup, I'm talking about a whole system lockup requiring a hard reset. Seems to be graphics related in that the first time it locked up I was resizing the browser window. I've gone through YOU and patched up everything, including the NVidia driver. Just wondered if anyone here had any similar experiences. Cheers, Ken Hughes

I've had this with Firefox: had to log-out. Just switching to Mozilla now and hoping that works better -- Thom Nuzum thom@tendata.com Realtor Technology Training Washington DC, Virginia,& Maryland

I'm suffering this problem on a SuSE 9.0 distro + linuxant driver + (mozilla or kde or opera) since I've upgraded to 9.0 Pro, AFAIK is linuxant related (never happens when I'm not using the modem), but I'll keep an eye on this thread... ===== Riccardo G. Facchini

Using it here at home, been open for four days straight without problems. Ken

Thanks for the tip Pete. I'm using the Nvidia drivers that were installed via YOU, which according to /var/lib/YaST2/you/scripts was 1.0-5336 (the latest version available from nvidia.com also). What's weird is that I can run xscreensaver, tuxracer, or any other 3D app all day with no problems, only Mozilla so far has issues. I'm using Firefox and Thunderbird without any problems so I'm not overly worried about it yet. Just wanted to make sure it wasn't only me. Thanks also to everyone else for your responses, Ken
