Hi, did just install Firefox on my opensuse 11.1 system, and noticed that it doesn't save any entered user/password combination, and it doesn't even prompt me to do so. When I call the "clear private data" window (in "tools"), the field "clear saved passwords" is listed, but not available (greyed out). "Remember passwords for sites" in preferences -> security is checked. I tried to re-install Firefox and did delete ~/.mozilla, without any success. Does anybody know what could be wrong here? Thanks, Heinz. I investigated litt further, running firefox as root brings up this: --------------- Failed to contact configuration server; some possible causes are that you need to enable TCP/IP networking for ORBit, or you have stale NFS locks due to a system crash. See http://projects.gnome.org/gconf/ for information. (Details - 1: Failed to get connection to session: Did not receive a reply. Possible causes include: the remote application did not send a reply, the message bus security policy blocked the reply, the reply timeout expired, or the network connection was broken.) --------------- I didn't have a system crash, nor do I use NFS or whatsoever. That's f*cking strange! Running as user, a warning from Gtk shows up: Gtk-Message: Failed to load module "pk-gtk-module": libpk-gtk-module.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory Seems like gnome-packagekit is broken somehow... -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
