double characters
I find that I frequently get double (or triple) characters when typing into the mailing list, or perhaps other aps. I forget what this is called--something about the repeat setup. Is it possible to slow this down, so as not to have the problem? I am using an IBM keyboard, same as the one on the Windows machine. (This is a noisy KB, but nothing types as well as these do! IBM made good stuff, way back when!) --doug

I also find the default delay before keyboard-repeat in Suse very short. You want to go to Personal Settings / Peripherals / Keyboard and increase the delay until you feel comfortable. I am using 850 ms and I had to change this value in every Suse installation, since I started using it several years ago. I must have slow fingers... Carlos FL

I guess you have changed the settings. Go to KDE Control Center > Peripherals > Keyboard. Adjust the settings, until the keyboard works properly. Should work! -- http://mckagan.googlepages.com
