I have a problem. I use SuSE 5.2 and I have configured very well Xfree when I access in root mode. I have configure in /root file .xserverrc for 16 bpp (I have seen dataBase help..). Well, when I have created a new user and start (with startx) Xfree (KDE for precision) it start with 8 bpp and I don't be able to start with 16 bpp (yes, with startx -- -bpp 16 I can). I have tried to copy .xserverrc from /root to /home/.... but it, when I start Xfree, give me this message: "_XSERVTranSocketUNIXCreateListener: SocketCreateListener () failed _XSERVTrans,akeAIICOTServerListener: server already running fatal server errot: Cannot establish any listening sockets - Make sure an X server isn't already running _X11TransSocketUNIXConnect: Can't connect: errno = 111 giving up xinit: Connection refused (errno 111): unable to connect to X server xinit: No such process (errno 3): Server error " I have try to change attributes to copy in /home/.. of .xserverrc, I have try to rename the copy in /root and have only in /home/.., but no solutions are an happy end.
