Hi! I'm using KDE but for my email I use Evolution. Where can I change the parameters for the browser that start up if I click on a web address in a mail message? I would like to use Konqueror. Thanks Martin
I'd like to know too! Also, is there a signature card or something to that effect in Evolution? Tom On Mon, 2002-06-03 at 13:36, Martin Richard wrote:

I don't know the answer to the default browser question (did you look through Ximian's knowledgebase? It is very good and I have found several answers to questions there), but I do know there is a way to create a signature in Evolution. There is a place to set the path of a .signature file somewhere in Evolution (I'm not at my Linux machine at the moment) but I can't remember where. It may be in "Mail Settings" or "Preferences" or something like that. I have done it before so I know it works. Hopefully, this will help you find it. Signature card?? signature file. Create a text file with your signature; save as "xxx.signature" In evolution, -> tools -> mail setting -> edit account -> the first page has a selection for signature. Set this to your "xxx.signature" and you are done. To get a gnome app such as evolution to use konqueror you may want to make sure that you make two changes to the gnome control centre. 1. Document handler -> default application -> web browser -> select konqueror as the default web browser. 2. Document handler -> URL handler -> set the protocols http and https to the command konqueror "%s" HTH -- Ralph Sanford - If your government does not trust you, rsanford@telusplanet.net - should you trust your government? Hello, all - I'm looking to upgrade my home file server /web server / ftp server / linux desktop. Currently, it has a 2x P-233 setup. In general, would I get better throughput using a 2x PII-450, or a 1x PIII - 750? The SMP system is upgradeable to 2x PIII-700 (100fsb), but it comes with 2 PII-450s. Thanks for the suggestions.
Start up the GNOME Control Center (if you are using SuSE8/KDE it's in the KDE menu under System / WM). Go to Document Handlers, URL Handlers, and change the default Protocol or html Protocol (I have seen it labeled two different ways on different machines) to your favorite browser. C.
