[S.u.S.E. Linux] AccelX + SuSE 5.2 + Gimp 1.0 + .TTF = Success
With some excellent help I have managed to set up<BR> TrueType fonts downloaded from :<BR> <X-Color><Param>red</Param><A HREF="http://www.geocities.com/SoHo/Gallery/8992/index2.html<BR">http://www.geocities.com/SoHo/Gallery/8992/index2.html<BR</A>> </X-Color><BR> used under SuSE 5.2 running Accelerated-X and Gimp 1.0.<BR> An example of the logo script-fu output is at <X-Color><Param>red</Param><A HREF="http://www.wdm.com<BR">http://www.wdm.com<BR</A>> </X-Color>(Sure work fine also with XSuSE as well!)<BR> Needed was Xfstt-0.9.9.tgz, which I unpacked in /usr/local/xfstt.<BR> Then I put the downloaded .ttf fonts in /usr/ttfonts.<BR> <BR> Then I followed some instructions send from "Geremy F." <geremy@ee.gatech.edu> :<BR> ----------------------------------------------------------<BR> <BR>
You have to run xfstt twice:<BR> <BR> xfstt --sync<BR> xfstt &<BR> <BR> then:<BR> xset fp+ unix/:7100 <--- Not sure exactly<BR> xset fp rehash<BR> -- <BR>

What I wish there was support for, or maybe there is and I don't know it, are the Type 1 fonts!
