Kinternet stopped docking into the panel when kde boots. This originally worked but I'm sure it stopped when I installed KDE2. Can it be corrected sp that it docks again as it is quite useful but anoying when it is up on the desktop. Nev
This happened to me recently. I simply ran kinternet again from the menu system (K->Internet->Kinternet) and the icon reappeared, and hasn't disappeared again since. On Tuesday 09 January 2001 21:04, Neville Cobb wrote:

Thanks for the advice. I managed to recompile the kernel and it now works. However I noticed the handbook is wrong at Page 378 Para 13.3 in that the configuration file that came with the linux distribution is /boot/vmlinuz.config and not /usr/src/linux/.config as stated in the para. It only appears in the /usr/src/linux folder upon your first compile.

Try getting the kinternet-0.2-4 rpm from: ftp://ftp.suse.com/pub/suse/i386/KDE2/update_for_7.0/k2de1/kinternet.rpm Bye, Chris -- __ _ -o)/ / (_)__ __ ____ __ Chris Reeves /\\ /__/ / _ \/ // /\ \/ / ICQ# 22219005 _\_v __/_/_//_/\_,_/ /_/\_\
