[opensuse] openSUSE-13.1 update repo
I have an openSUSE-13.1 system that I have neglected update with the latest updates, and the assoc update repo now seems to have disappeared. Anyone know where I can find the updates to apply to the system? I'd like to archive the system in the fully updated condition when I am ready to switch to a newer system as well as to have the latest updates instaled during the brief time I will be using it until that time. Thanks, --Phil -- Philip Amadeo Saeli psaeli@zorodyne.com -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

Phil, That looks like a screw-up in server maintenance. It is in fact gone from the normal update server, but not yet on the discontinued server, e.g. http://ftp5.gwdg.de/pub/opensuse/discontinued/ The suse folks may be shuffling servers around, but there should be no reason that 13.1 updates are not available somewhere. That looks like a screw-up in server maintenance. It is in fact gone from the normal update server, but not yet on the discontinued server, e.g.
http://ftp5.gwdg.de/pub/opensuse/discontinued/update/ shows me no 13.1. http://ftp5.gwdg.de/pub/opensuse/update/13.1/ exists.

I'm pretty sure I saw very recently a mailing list announcement that 13.1 would soon be dropped from http://download.opensuse.org/update/ -- "The wise are known for their understanding, and pleasant words are persuasive." That leaves me scratching my head see that 12.3 is still in update. As long as they move it all to discontinued/update, I'm fine with that, I just want to be able to resurrect a historic drive if I find myself in that circumstance. Considering I still have 8.0 servers mothballed in the corner :) -- David C. Does this mean that official 13.1 update is no longer possible and one has to update or use "inofficial" http://ftp5.gwdg.de/pub/opensuse/discontinued/update/13.1/ ? BR -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

13.1 support finished months ago, including Evergreen. -- Cheers / Saludos, Carlos E. R. (from 42.2 x86_64 "Malachite" at Telcontar)

The "official" URL should already have been set up to redirect to the gwdg.de site. -- Per Jessen, Zürich (2.6°C) http://www.dns24.ch/ - free dynamic DNS, made in Switzerland. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

I inserted the gwdg.de site http://ftp5.gwdg.de/pub/opensuse/discontinued/update/13.1/ but it only offers updates for Firefox, Thunderbird and btrfsprogs. Is that correct?
