I would like to be able to create a local mirror of the Suse FTP website for packages. This will save a lot of bandwidth in the future. For starters, I was going to install the packages from the suse tree into /srv/ftp/suse/ But none of those package are seen by YAST when I set it up as: Source Of Installation == "dir:///srv/ftp/suse/" or "dir:///srv/ftp/suse/suse/" With a directory tree of: /srv/ftp/suse/suse/(i586|i686|...) I doesn't see anything. I was assuming if I could get this to work, then I could use FTP for access from the rest of my clients.
