As for ifup-dhcp wlan0, I've no DHCP server as far as I can see here.
Most wireless router/modems have an option for DHCP--that's how the IP address gets assigned to the card
As for YaST, I'm not sure I'm well understanding. Please, what does "in YaST did you configure your card with module "ndiswrapper"? " mean?
In Yast>Network Devices>Network Card, you should see an ADD button on the bottom of "Network Card Configuration Overview" screen. If you click this and select Device Type=wireless, the module should be "ndiswrapper".
citlali:~ # ndiswrapper -l Installed drivers: lstinds driver installed, hardware present citlali:~ # --
Does this mean that the driver and the card are correctly installed? Anyway, we are just getting the led power greening on. No link at all.
The way you manually installed it, YES, this means that ndiswrapper has installed the proper driver for a device that is present on your system.
Thanks for your help,
Ricardo
