Which version. If you use hplip, you can check it via hp-toolbox. Works great here in 10.1. You have to access it via hplip for it to work. -- Joe Morris Registered Linux user 231871 -- Check the headers for your unsubscription address For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the archives at http://lists.suse.com Please read the FAQs: suse-linux-e-faq@suse.com

Joe, have you ever gotten that thing to work with a network attached printer (tcp port 9000)? Won't work for me for a Hp Officejet 7310-xi. -- _____________________________________ John Andersen

I am running a self built 1.6.6 version in 10.1, and it says it works over a network, usb, and parallel, but I have only used one via USB. It should what what it says, but I just do not have any experience. -- Joe Morris Registered Linux user 231871 -- Check the headers for your unsubscription address For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the archives at http://lists.suse.com Please read the FAQs: suse-linux-e-faq@suse.com
I got HP Officejet d155xi working over network. Although I've had problems with it in the past, I had absolutely no problems with it in 10.1.... What type of problems do you have? Jerry On Saturday 22 July 2006 03:12, John Andersen wrote:

See the Following portion of the post. (note that the order is now hopelessly messed up because you top posted. The printer works fine. Hp-Toolbox does not find network attached printers, only locally attached printers.

The 10.1 version worked (I never tried 10.0), but I did have trouble getting the toolbox to work. I believe I had to update to 1.6.6 to finally get it all working as it should. I also used KDE Print Manager to be able to see the hp:// connection to use for my printer, as Yast wanted to use a different connection IIRC. -- Joe Morris Registered Linux user 231871 -- Check the headers for your unsubscription address For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the archives at http://lists.suse.com Please read the FAQs: suse-linux-e-faq@suse.com
