Mine is compact flash, not smart media, but this works for me: modprobe usb-storage mount -t vfat /dev/sda1 /camera (or whatever mount point you want) *************************************************** Powered by SuSE Linux 7.3 Professional KDE 2.2.1 KMail 1.3.1 This is a Microsoft-free computer Bryan S. Well this is what I get when I do that. mount: /dev/sda1: unknown device

Well it depends on what device it shows up. I use a PCMCIA adapter in my laptop and the card becomes /dev/hdc1. Not sure wether it all will be seen as scsi. To figure out, I'd look around in the /proc file system for clues, /proc/ide and /proc/scsi as the obvious. Well after many hours of fooling with this command, fstab file and few others I decided to plug the reader into the USB port that my printer is on and I know works. Guess what? The reader works fine. So maybe the USB port on the front of my computer is bad. Either way I can get my pics. Thanks to everyone for the help!
