I'm trying to install the packman mplayerplug-in package from ftp://ftp.uni-erlangen.de/pub/mirrors/packman/suse/9.3 But I get the following error: "Cannot access installation media Packman (SuSE LINUX 9.3) CD 1. Check that the server is accessible." "The source at the specified URL now provides a different media ID. If the URL is correct, this indicates that the source content has changed. To continue using this source, start Change Source of Installation from the YaST control center and refresh the installation source." I have refreshed the installation source a couple of times, apparently successfully, but still get the same message. I don't understand what to do next? Thanks and regards, Dave Howorth

Did you quit from the Install & Remove module, or just leave it running while you wen to the Installation Sources and refreshed th Packman source? You must start the installation process over after refreshing. By the way, one of the improvements in YaST in version 10 of the SuSE distribution is the ability to set individual installation sources to be refreshed automatically upon every invocation of the Software Management module (the new name for Install & Remove).

Hi Randall, Good point but yes, I had tried everything up to and including a reboot without success. I left it overnight and tried again and it worked. I guess there was a glitch on the ftp site.

That doesn't quite float my boat enough to go through all the aggro of setting my machine up again :) Thanks for the info anyway. Cheers, Dave
