Hello all: I'd like to be able to configure postfix by hand on my 8.1 box. It appears however that some component of Suse is mucking with my changes. I recall that you can tell suse not to be concerned with configuring certain things. However, I can't seem to find any such setting anywhere in Yast2 for Postfix. How do I tell SuSE to stop messing with my Postfix config? -Thanks.

Edit by hand the file you do not want SuSEconfig to change, ie: main.cf, master.cf. -- Patrick Shanahan Registered Linux User #207535 http://wahoo.no-ip.org @ http://counter.li.org

Do not forget to also make changes in the /etc/sysconfig/mail: # If you don't want to let SuSEconfig generate your # configuration file, set this to no # MAIL_CREATE_CONFIG="no" Regards, -Kastus
Thanks for the help folks. -Jim
