We've tried the IDE RAID card of 3ware, for which we've become a reseller because it not just works very well but it also has very good Linux support right from the start and from THE source, sinde Andre Hedrick himself, who's responsible for all IDE stuff in the kernel, wrote the driver for them (and he established the contacts between us and 3ware). -- To unsubscribe send e-mail to suse-linux-e-unsubscribe@suse.com For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the FAQ at http://www.suse.com/support/faq

So am I correct to understand Yast of Suse 6.4/7.0 out of the box is able to detect the 3ware ide raid card and use it -- Togan Muftuoglu toganm@turk.net 100% MS FREE Absolutely no component of Microsoft was used in the generation or posting of this e-mail. You need to recompile the kernel, and enable CONFIG_BLK_DEV_3W_XXXX_RAID as either "M" (module) or "Y" (built into the kernel). It's in the SCSI section, because it appears as a SCSI device to the kernel. -- To unsubscribe send e-mail to suse-linux-e-unsubscribe@suse.com For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the FAQ at http://www.suse.com/support/faq
