Hi,
Just curious if anyone knows why SuSE created /srv and /media?
I had already created our web under /usr/local/www.
Thank you.

Probably an LSB thing. /media has been that way for awhile, but /srv/ is new to 8.1. Matt
Well, paths are a FHS (Filesystem Fierarchy Standard) issue, and it says _nothing_ on /media and /srv. It -appears- to me that /srv belongs to either /opt or /var. I'm not exactly sure why, and apparently, neither did the SuSE developers, as they created a new path. http://www.pathname.com/fhs/2.2/fhs-3.2.html On Monday 25 November 2002 15:51, Matthew wrote:
