usb-agent complains after recompiling the kernel
Hi! I tried to build the 2.4.21-192-smp4G kernel of SuSE 9.0. Till then, all right. I did the usual stuff. I reboot and then the usb-agent complains and the hotplug service is 'failed'. Here is an excerpt from the 'messages' message. usb-uhci.c: ENXIO 84000380, flags 0, urb c2eeae20, burb c2b48ce0 usbdevfs: USBDEVFS_CONTROL failed dev 3 rqt 128 rq 6 len 18 ret -6 /etc/hotplug/usb.agent[1412]: cannot get config descriptor: No such device or address and so on with all my usb devices... I must be honest: I did medle in the SuSE config for the kernel, and in particular the system seems to complain about "char-major 9" missing (aliased as 'st' module). Is this of ay relevance to my problem? What is the 'st' module relating to? I must say that the rest of the system goes OK. Many thanks, Loïc
