RE: [SLE] running screensavers in /usr/X1R6/lib/screensaver under KDE

There are a number of screensavers in /usr/X1R6/lib/screensaver that I would like to run under KDE. Is this possible? I've been able to figure out that KDE seems to use *.kss files but much prefer the selection under /usr/X1R6/lib/screensaver which apparently runs under Gnome (I have an old RedHat box that uses them).
TIA Patrick
