Hi there, I have a Suse10.1 upgraded from initially Suse10.0 box and a few days ago, I was doing a routine online update, when yast2 went mental. It started with sending me some messages saying that there was a symbol problem with libzpp and reading through the list I found what it seemed the solution with downgrading libzypp 2.13-15 to 1.1.0-1.11, but it didn't work, no only opens the main window and get's stuck on the please wait popup. Most of my yast2 rpms are 2.13.*, I am not sure which ones I should reinstall or downgraded or upgraded. Thanks in advance for your help and time. Jose

So what did you do to? What external repos did you add?
libzypp 1.2.0-1 ftp-1.gwdg.de/pub/opensuse/repositories/YaST:/tools
returning to libzypp 1.1.0-1.11 has corrected the problem. Appariently
the 1.2.0-1 version has broken dependencies problems

Please do not add the "repositories/YaST:/tools" repo. Its libzypp is incompatible with 10.1. Ciao, Marcus
