RE: [opensuse] Hardware Compatibility List
Hi :)
Just before I post about an installation problem, I was wondering if anyone can point me in the direction of an HCL that I could use to check if my problems are due to hardware?
My system in particular is an HP nx6110, Celeron-M 1.4Ghz, 512MB RAM, 40GB HD, integrated WLAN (Broadcom chipset, so I know it won't work :( Damn you Broadcom!!!)
You need ndiswrapper for Broadcom :( Haven't downloaded OpenSUSE, but probably does come with it (comes with 9.3). sys file should be obtained from the MS-Windows drivers. HTH Rafa

Thanks Rafa, Hopefully Broadcom will join the majority of the world and join in with Open Source. I've found an HCL that appears to be pretty good: http://developer.novell.com/yessearch/Search.jsp My problem appears to have been fixed by disabling ACPI. Regards, Andy
